The Rising Leaders Forum Virtual Conversations is a quarterly web series created by and for millennial women.
Join us for this quarter’s Virtual Conversation, "Weaving Wellness and Mindfulness Tips with Work." We’ll sit down with 2 panelists who will share their experiences with mindfulness and wellness while having to adapt to a ‘new norm’ during these unique times. We’ll discuss challenges for maintaining a healthy and happy mindset, as well as potential opportunities and tips for increasing our awareness. From the personal ways we choose to embrace wellness and mindfulness, to company-sponsored programs and initiatives, we hope this talk will be positive and insightful. This conversation is meant to be casual and interactive. Please come prepared to learn and share your insights and experiences!
Victoria Garstka, IT Leadership Development Professional, Global Security, Aetna, a CVS Health Company
Victoria is a member of the Global Security organization at Aetna, and is part of the Information Technology Leadership Development Program. Victoria graduated with her degree in Cybersecurity in May 2019, and shortly after began her role at Aetna. During her time at Aetna, Victoria has worked on two different teams within Global Security – Data Protection and Next Generation Authentication. Since beginning her career as a woman in technology, Victoria has made an effort to expand her involvement in the world of WIT by joining EWF and WITI. Victoria has recently become a co-lead for the RLF Virtual Conversations action team. She is excited to expand her involvement in EWF and hopes to promote personal and professional growth through encouraging EWF members to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys staying active – including hiking and yoga.
Jessica Valentine, Mindful business mentor and cybersecurity professional.
Her breadth of experience in strategy, operations, program management, and client services allow her to apply a holistic approach to secure client’s digital transformation initiatives at Optiv, a security solutions integrator.
Her notable achievements include creating the inaugural cybersecurity internship program for Dell, launching her own non-profit, Own I.T., for women in cybersecurity, and teaching yoga at the RSA conference and EWF National Conference in 2019.
As an industry speaker and wellness entrepreneur, Jessica Valentine is passionate about empowering women to embody their vision and weave wellness with work. She is currently developing her own methodology to offer to individuals and organizations seeking fulfillment, engagement, and holistic professional development. She is an activist for diversity, equity, and inclusion and women’s initiatives and is inspired to pioneer a new path for the next generation of leaders in our field.
