On May 9th and 10th, over 110 cybersecurity executive women leaders will meet at the U.S. Capitol for the 3rd Annual “EWF Cybersecurity Women on Capitol Hill Public/Private Symposium,” hosted by the Executive Women’s Forum on Information Security, Risk Management & Privacy (EWF). Symposium attendees will engage in bipartisan meetings with Congressional staff and committee members to introduce women cybersecurity and privacy experts as subject matter resources for providing education, testimony and increasing women’s participation in the cybersecurity legislative process.

Engaging over 7,000 women, the EWF is the largest member organization for women in Cybersecurity, IT Risk and Privacy professionals.

“We all know that Cybersecurity is a non-partisan issue that concerns everyone; government, industry, national defense and private citizens alike,” says Joyce Brocaglia, EWF’s Founder and CEO. “We gather EWF members on Capitol Hill to make a difference. We are here to improve cybersecurity and we feel that can be done by increasing women in the cyber workforce and creating a more inclusive law making process.”

During the two day event, EWF delegates will participate in presentations from industry thought leaders and senior Congressional staff members from Senator Schumer and Senator McConnell’s office. They will have personal bipartisan meetings with Congressional, Senate staff and committee members. Women will have opportunities to speak with staff about cyber education, workforce challenges and the importance of engaging women in the legislative process including the opportunity to provide expert testimony.

The EWF will be live streaming from Capitol Hill on May 10th from 9:00 am-12:30 pm ET HERE.
