Code of Conduct


The Executive Women’s Forum on Information Security, Risk Management and Privacy is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other protected categories under US applicable law. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior. We invite all benefactors, speakers, attendees, and other participants to thoroughly read our Code of Conduct in its entirety to ensure that everyone can comply with it. All determinations of appropriate or inappropriate behavior are in the EWF's sole discretion and the decision(s) of the EWF executive staff will be final.

Expected Behavior

  1. Be respectful of all others and of viewpoints that may differ from your own.
  2. Be considerate of those around you.
  3. Be mindful of your words and actions.

Unacceptable Behavior

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact conference@ewf-usa.com or any EWF Team Member.

  1. All forms of harassment will not be tolerated, whether in person or virtually including, but not limited to, harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other status protected by laws in which the conference or program is being held. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive or degrading language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors. Any report of harassment at one of our events, whether in person or virtual, will be addressed immediately by the EWF staff.
  2. Benefactors, speakers, moderators and others will not be allowed to use sexualized images, activities, or other material in their booths or talks. They will be expected to and should conduct themselves at all times in a manner that comport with both the letter and spirit of this policy prohibiting harassment and abusive behavior, whether before, during of after an EWF event in any form. This includes statements made in social media postings including the use of any EWF hashtags used in association with inappropriate behavior or otherwise outlined in the Code of Conduct, online publications and all other forms of electronic communication.
  3. The EWF has always supported robust, candid and thoughtful dialog about products, companies and issues. Be aware it our policy that the EWF reserves the right to limit any dialog that seeks to denigrate or humiliate any company, product, representative or platform. While we support thoughtful and sometimes even heated discussions, when anyone attempts to ruin reputations or malign, we will intercede.
  4. All participants in a session will not be allowed disruptive speech, chatting, messaging or other behavior that otherwise interferes with the event or other individual’s participation in the event or engage in otherwise spamming of other attendees.
  5. All participants have the right to refuse any form of contact with other individuals or companies. If an individual or company continuously tries to initiate contact with said beforementioned participant who does not wish to share their contact information, they will be in violation of this code of conduct.
  6. All attendees, speakers and others will be expected to comply with the instructions of the EWF staff or moderator at any time. All EWF Staff and moderators will be held to the same standards as outlined in the Code of Conduct.



If a participant engages in harassing behavior, whether in person or virtually, the EWF staff may take any action they deem appropriate depending on the circumstances, ranging from issuance of a single warning which will lead to expulsion from any event, platform or program with no refund. EWF reserves the right to exclude any participant found to be engaging in harassing behavior from participating in any further EWF events, offerings, social media platforms, or other activities or programs.

We expect all Participants to abide by this Code of Conduct at all EWF venues and EWF-related social events. Participants seek to learn, network, and have fun. Please do so responsibly and with respect for the right of others to do likewise. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a friendly, safe, and welcoming event environment.


The above policies may be revised at any time by the EWF and are non-negotiable.
